Growing up, I used to love cities – the big buildings, busy streets, live 24-7 action and no way of ever getting bored.
However, as I grew older (and by older I mean 25+) my fascination with the big city life has been waning off because let’s face it; big cities suck!
They are dirty, polluted, rude, crowded, noisy and dangerous.
Nowadays I find much more pleasure in exploring the smaller towns on the outskirts of the major cities.
With that said, here are 18 beautiful small towns in the US that – IMO – are much better than a “city”.
